Behind the scenes, the site has been updated to the most recent version of the CMS that powers it. Will be updating/checking PHP code to make sure it is compatible with PHP 5. May also update old Flash articles to ActionScript 3.
I have about four new tutorials written at this point but I have not published them on the site. I am using them in my ActionScript and PHP courses that I teach at the Art Institute of Washington. As soon as I have some free time I will post them here. I would ideally like to check them for errors and then post but I may just post them as is.
I am no longer only going to write about programming topics. I had already started posting about things not related to PHP, MySQL, Javascript etc. over the past year or so and I've decided to remove my old slogan since it doesn't fit the site anymore. When I think of a new slogan I'll add it.
Somehow the htaccess file for the site got set to zero bytes, meaning that nothing was accessible beyond the homepage. Since I am making more of an effort to update more regularly, I discovered it today. After a bit of email back and forth, support was able to let me know what the problem was and I uploaded a backup copy.
It is now very easy to bookmark and subscribe to content on site by clicking on the bookmark button or the subscribe rss button.
I have been doing some experimenting with the site behind the scenes and apparently I've screwed up this link along the way. Until this is fixed, just use the tag cloud on the upper left column, under the site name. The 'more tags' link will show all of the tags, and from the tags you can see all published and tagged articles.
ETA (Edited to Add): this bug is now fixed.
The site has a new design. It's not a radical departure from the old design, as the colour scheme remains the same. Most of the old content has been included but not all (and I will be leaving it off). There will be more changes as I continue to work.
